GW appealed to me because it dont matter what race or color your chr is - no race has a certain boost and all are equal.
And i agree with others that giving a race a bonus will cause other races to be less used , imagine being in an outpost with just norn warriors for dmg - wheres the healing , the balanced team ? you may as well give norns the old ursan blessing and wipe all other races/professions out - infact just call it norn or ursan wars and leave it at that. The theme diversity brings gw into being more like real life , we have diverse landscapes .Often the landscape in gw i dont bother looking at when fighting - if i had time to look it would mean im probably dead and awaiting to be res`d |

I prefer mix of themes, if not it will be really boring. However, I wish that the world map is not fragmented like GW1.

im down with generic eurpoean style like the first guild wars. ya know, castles and armies and stuff. but they already set gw2 in a dragon run fantasy land thingy with little asuran guys running around

Imho GW2 needs more Kingdom of Ascalon style areas, like Presearing in GW1. Shame that Ascalon is completely destroyed in the future and the only known realm of humanity in Tyria is in Kryta. Other than that we'll get some Asian and African themes from Cantha/Elona in expansions probably but I was never a great fan of them. I want more traditional medieval Europe setting.

I think GW2 must have a lot of varied themes, more than prophecies, because regardless of how awesome is one setting over another, it will get boring anyway if there's no other themes to compare/like/dislike.

I really enjoyed Factions for its architecture and music, but i have to say i prefer Prophecies with all the various environments.
Overall i'd like a more 'European' Guild Wars 2. Then why not see the future of Factions in expansions like others have said. |
